Thanks + Giving = Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving evokes many great memories for most of us. Food, football, family, fellowship, and then— more food. I remember as a kid my family having a time at the dinner table in which each of us would share what we were thankful for. Most of the churches that I have attended through the years also have had a similar time when Thanksgiving neared. Now that I am a Pastor I have led my church in having a time of thanksgiving as well. It is in this spirit that I offer the following thanks to all of our readership.
Thank you SBC Today readers! Because of you SBC Today is averaging nearly 26,000 views a month! Since 2008 we have had nearly one million views—yes, 1,000,000 views! On top of that, our readers also take the time to engage the articles and have so far logged more than 7,000 comments–this year. So, thank you.
Thank you SBC Today contributors! This blog is read so often because of the great and diverse contributors that we have! Our contributors have submitted articles and research on a variety of topics that are important in the hearts of those in the pew and the pulpit. The list of contributors is quite lengthy, but to each of you—thank you.
Thank you Connect 316! SBC Today changed hands in August 2014. The transition was easy and smooth and Connect 316 is grateful for those who began this blog and have helped it to continue. Connect 316 has done an excellent job communicating the Traditional views held by so many Southern Baptists—so thank you Connect 316!
But the “thanks” is only half of Thanksgiving. Should God so lay it on your heart this Thanksgiving and Christmas season to support our work financially with an end of year gift, please know it is deeply appreciated and will be put to good use. Every penny will help strengthen our network and promote our Traditional Southern Baptist understanding of salvation doctrine.
Connect 316 is a tax deductible, 501(c) 3 non-profit religious organization composed entirely of volunteers. All donations are used to defray the expenses of events like our Connect 316 Supper and to maintain our website operations (Connect 316 and SBC Today).
