Relevant? Fitting in with their culture? This is how silly and crazy some Churches can get as they seek to identify with their culture, and supposedly do things to reach people. Notice that the name of the Church is the Wine Barrel Church. Maybe that should tell us all someting. This would really be funny, if it were not so sad. Thanks to Robin Foster for sharing such a wonderful video with all of us.

I can’t take full credit for finding this. That goes to the guys at, alittleleaven.com .
I could only watch about a third of it. I long for preaching to be thought of as the sobering act of proclaiming the Word of God in the power of God.
I’ve recently started a blog, the information you provide on this site has helped me tremendously. Thank you for all of your time & work.
I don’t think he is really trying to fit in or be relevant. From watching the video and checking out the church’s website, it looks like they are one of those drunk in the spirit, rolling in the aisles types of charismatic churches. A whole different type of theological error.
Jake,
Dont you think they’re both?
David
Maybe. But I don’t think he is doing what he is doing just to get a laugh or to seem hip or relevant. His dress and the appearance of his stage scream relevant/trying desperately to fit in, but what he says and how he says it combined with the info on the church website tell me that the source of what he is doing has more to do with buying into the charismatic nonsense that came out of the Brownsville revival and the Toronto blessing. In one of his other videos he is doing the same kind of act, but he is wearing a suit. So, while I think he does want to appeal to the masses in a variety of ways, I think the bigger issue here is the charismatic one.
This is hard to watch. This does not have any of the earmarks of grace about it. Creepy. Maybe worse.
Matt,
Definitely.
David
This “preacher” is obviously a fake and I can only describe what I saw as satanic. Yes, I am judging.
