SBC Today just received word that SACS will remove The Criswell College from probation during their next meeting. In fact, they have “no recommendations” whatsoever, which means Criswell is completely in the clear. Last year, Criswell College was put on probation as stated in this document . Rumors have circulated since that time, but in SACS next meeting, Criswell College will be taken off of probation. This is good news for Criswell and all who are affiliated with that institution.

However, it should have NEVER happened to begin with. It was simply a mathematical error on SACS part…..yet Criswell was punished.

Makes a great case for SBC seminaries and state Baptist colleges to accredidate their own.
